Ogwen Valley

About the Event

The Tryfan mountain scramble is a famous route in the Ogwen Valley, Snowdonia. Forming part of the Glyderau range, Tryfan is one of the most recognisable peaks in Britain. It's pointed shape and rugged ridges have drawn many experienced mountaineers to challenge one of the many routes to its 917.5 metre summit.

The name "Tryfan" is thought to derive from the intensifying particle try–and the noun ban (‘top, peak’), giving the meaning ‘very high peak’. Tryfan was voted Britain's favourite mountain by Trail magazine.

Take your walking to the next level and tackle one of the grade 1 scrambles and conquer this popular but challenging scramble.

No need to worry about the route, when to fuel and hydrate, decisions around tricky scrambles or getting lost with a qualified mountain leader. Weather changes, no problem your guide will know where to go and what to do, leaving you to focus on your challenge and ambitions.
